So it comes off more as screwed-up, attention seeking brat than genuinley creepy to me.
Mind you, my three favorites of the beta trolls are him, Gamzee and Vriska.
So it's fair to say that where trolls are concerned I kinda like the fuckups.

Sana: yeah, but that's what makes them interesting to me. Whether they redeem themselves or they just collapse into parodies of themselves and fuck up everything up more, it's still gonna be one hell of a story. I'll be sitting in the background nomming on popcorn.

It's all too complicated to split into black-and-white "good" and "bad". Those are relative terms.

Like I don't think there are any ACTIONS which are always wrong it depends on context.
I can think of (wildly unlikely) situations, for example, where torturing a small child would be justified.
I don't like admitting it, but...
This is why I can't bring myself to hate Grifith because in the long run sacrificng the Hawks has been good for Midland/Falconia, so...

But I honestly do believe it's a better outcome than if he'd left things as is.
I won't say sacrificing your friends to demons is 'admirable' or anything close.
But in the context of Berserk cosmology he made the right call.
